Elemental Garden — Collection of the Taubman Art Museum, Roanoke VA, 2012
This smaller installation was on view at the Chemical Heritage Foundation (CHF) Museum, Philadelphia, as part of the foundation’s year long celebration of the International Year of Chemistry, 2011. Elemental Garden is comprised of eight sculptures inspired by the orbital patterns of elements in descending order of creation from collapsing stars: Hydrogen, Helium, Carbon, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur. The sculptures are installed in the education area of the Taubman Museum and include a soundscape created by bio-musician, Susan Alexjander titled:  Elements as Tone, which was part of the initial installation at CHF, played via a sound dome pictured in this image.
Sculpture Materials:  mylar and fiberglass rods.
